Dr. Jason Taub, MD

Board-Certified and Fellowship-Trained Neurosurgeon

Dr. Jason Taub earned his undergraduate degree from Duke University and his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA, where he graduated in the top of his class. He went on to complete a residency in Neurological Surgery at Emory University, where he also served as Chief Resident. During his residency, he was awarded a National Institute of Health (NIH)/National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) R25 Grant and worked as a post-doctoral research fellow studying biological neurorestoration and neuromodulation.

He then completed a combined neurosurgery and orthopaedic spine surgery fellowship at the renowned Cleveland Clinic, with focused training in minimally invasive and reconstructive techniques for the full spectrum of spinal disorders, including degenerative, tumor, trauma, rheumatologic, and infectious processes. He complements his comprehensive cranial and spinal oncologic practice with radiosurgical techniques, such as Gamma Knife. He also performs cranial procedures for the treatment of aneurysms, vascular malformations, pain disorders, and Chiari malformations.

Board Certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgeons, Dr. Taub is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, AO Spine, Texas Medical Association, and Dallas County Medical Association.

Dr. Taub is on staff at Methodist Hospital for Surgery, Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Plano, Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas, and Texas Institute for Surgery. He currently serves on the Board of Managers at Methodist Hospital for Surgery, as well as the Medical Director of Spinal Deformity and Oncology at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Plano.

He lives in Dallas with his wife and two children. He enjoys spending time with his family, playing sports, and exercising.
