We routinely recommend that surgical options be considered only after all non-operative treatments have been exhausted. In fact, we believe avoiding surgery is, in many cases, the smartest path to achieving the most successful result.

After a careful review of all medical data available – including the patient’s overall condition, occupation and lifestyle – we determine the most beneficial and appropriate surgical option.

Every surgery carries risks, and so we explain every procedure in detail and answer every question to help our patients accurately weigh those risks versus the benefits. We recommend surgical treatment only when, based on our years of experience treating patients with similar conditions, the likely benefits will dramatically improve the quality of a patient’s life for the better.
